The Rev. Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church will speak at 5 p.m. Friday at the Christ's Church of the Jesus Hour, 1119 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kan.

The visit is part of a 50-state, 51-day "We Will Stand" tour, whose stated purpose is to encourage people of various faiths to join in strengthening the family and tearing down walls of race and denominations.

Other scheduled speakers are the Rev. Stanley Wachtstetter, founder of the Apostolic Coalition, and the Rev. Michael Jenkins of the American Clergy Leadership Conference. Area clergy have been invited to participate and a mass choir will sing.

The American Clergy Leadership Conference, an interdenominational, interracial group of ministers, and the Nation of Islam are among the tour sponsors. The tour is an outgrowth of the Million Family March in Washington last March, convened by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and co-sponsored by Moon's Family Federation for World Peace.
