On October 27, 2001, we launched the ACLC, Ohio Chapter with 8
ministers in attendance from different denominations, races and
cultures. We had 4 black ministers vs. 4 white ministers. We focused
our discussion on the mission statement of the ACLC that brought
lot of interest and enthusiasm from the ministers. As a result,
all the 8 ministers signed up to be members of the ACLC. The Orthodox
Catholic Priest, John Cassian was very inspired at his first meeting
with us and promised to be a great supporter, he loves interfaith
activities. We went over the 9 points in the mission statement of
the ACLC and asked the ministers to choose three important points
among the 9. Among the selected three points, the number one was
to dissolve racial barriers by practicing the principle of loving
one's enemies. This point becomes the topic of discussion for our
next ACLC Prayer Breakfast Meeting scheduled for November 17, 2001.
We will invite top ministers in Ohio to be among the speakers.
Ohio is moving forward to unite Christianity and other religions.
